Kayak Cleanups

Make a difference — one paddle at a time.

Eco-friendly kayaking experiences that protect local wildlife and wetlands, hosted in partnership with Ocean Connectors.

An adventure with a purpose

Why our cleanups matter.

Join us for a Kayak Cleanup in Chula Vista on San Diego Bay. These eco-kayaking events invite the community to explore the bay while removing harmful trash from our wetlands and shoreline.

Our wetlands are home to incredible wildlife, including endangered green sea turtles, California Least Terns and native coastal plants. Stormwater runoff and plastic pollution threaten this fragile ecosystem, so every cleanup helps restore critical habitat and teaches our community about the San Diego Bay Watershed.

Together with Ocean Connectors we combine environmental action and education. Since launching the program, our volunteers have helped remove thousands of pounds of marine debris — one kayak at a time.
